I'm still trying to wrap my head around the desert theory in Peter Theriault's case. It's been over two decades, and they still haven't found his remains. Suppose he was buried somewhere between Irvine and Blythe as suspected. In that case, it seems like an expansive and challenging area to search, especially with the elements constantly changing the landscape. Has anyone else heard of other cases where remains were found in such vast desert areas after being missing for several years? The lack of a body must make closure incredibly difficult for Theriault's family and keeps me wondering how many other cases might be out there like this.
I’ve always been puzzled by the aspect of Peter Theriault's case where his body was never found. It’s haunting to think that after all these years, his resting place could still be hidden somewhere out between Irvine and Blythe. I’ve read some discussions suggesting there are quite a few remote, uninhabited areas along that stretch—it seems like it could be easy for a burial site to go unnoticed there. But with advancements in technology, like ground-penetrating radar or even advances in forensics, do you think there's a possibility something new might come to light? Cases like these where the victim’s location is unknown always leave me feeling like there’s a missing piece to the puzzle that’s just out of reach. What are everyone’s thoughts on search efforts in such vast desert terrains?
Does anyone else find it strange how few details there are about Peter Theriault's last whereabouts? I mean, he was last seen in Irvine, but there's hardly any eyewitness accounts or CCTV footage discussed. It’s like he vanished without a trace. I find it hard to believe no one saw or heard anything. Considering his route to the Ford plant and any routine stops he might have made, you’d think there might be something. I wonder if there are any unexamined areas along his presumed path that might shed light on his last movements. It would be interesting to see a map of known locations and any potential sightings, as vague as they might be. The lack of closure on where he actually ended up is really unsettling, and I can't help but feel there's more to discover about those early moments after he was last seen.
