Reading about Luis Alberto Diaz’s case just breaks my spirit especially for his family. I was struck by the involvement of Joshua A. Smith and how he claims it was the other person who fired the fatal shot. I can’t help but wonder about the dynamic between Smith and the unidentified individual—how does someone find themselves in such a situation? Maybe he was terrified, or maybe there's more to the story that hasn't come to light yet. His decision to allegedly dump Diaz's body is incredibly hard to comprehend too. It’s heart-wrenching to think about what Diaz went through during those final moments. And what about his family dealing with the loss and the headlines? They've managed to express forgiveness, which feels both inspiring and deeply moving. It makes me reflect on the strength they must have to find some peace. I hope justice serves those who deserve it and brings some solace to the families involved.
