I’ve been following Ryan Gilliam's case and just can't stop thinking about how this tragedy has affected his family and friends. An 18-year-old with his whole life ahead of him, it breaks my heart to see how his loved ones are grappling with this senseless loss. I came across several interviews with Ryan's parents, and it's evident how persistent and hopeful they are, even amid such pain. The fact that charges were dropped against one of the suspects must be incredibly frustrating for them. I know the justice system can be tough and sometimes feels like it's failing those it’s supposed to protect, but I truly hope they get the answers and closure they need. Anyone else thinking about ways the community can support families like the Gilliams as they deal with such a devastating event?

Hey everyone, I’ve been following Ryan Gilliam’s case, and one thing that stands out to me is how his high school, Trezevant, had to cope with his loss. It’s never easy for a school community to lose one of their own, especially so suddenly and violently. I’ve read about the support that came from the school—teachers, counselors, and fellow students coming together to remember Ryan and comfort his family. It’s really telling how these tragedies stretch beyond just the immediate family and affect so many lives. I think it’s important to acknowledge how these communities try to heal and support each other during such tough times. It makes you wonder if maybe more focus on conflict resolution or mentorship at schools could have a positive impact in the long run. Sending all my thoughts to Ryan’s family, his friends, and everyone at Trezevant who knew and loved him. Stay strong. ? What do you all think? Have you seen successful community responses to tragic losses like this?
