I’ve been thinking a lot about DeAndre Kpana-Quamoh’s influence on his community. It’s incredible how he seemed to touch everyone around him, isn’t it? Even though it’s been years since his tragic death, the discussions he sparked about gun safety and accidental shootings still resonate today. I came across a flyer for a local gun safety workshop yesterday, and it made me reflect on how his family and community have channeled their grief into something so positive and proactive. Gun safety is such a critical topic, and it’s heartening to see that DeAndre’s legacy is contributing to real change. Such a sad situation for a promising young man with so much ahead of him, but his story is certainly pushing forward a crucial dialogue and momentum for much-needed awareness.
