I recently started digging into the disappearance of Leonard Haynes Jr., and something that strikes me is the lack of media coverage from back in 2003. It's puzzling because you'd think a missing person case would at least get some attention to help gather leads. I’m curious if anyone from the New Richmond area remembers any local news stories or community efforts to find him when he first went missing. It's frustrating how these cases can just fade from public view over time. If anyone has any insight or remembers any details that weren’t widely reported, please share. Maybe there’s something out there that hasn't been connected yet.
Hey everyone, I've been digging a bit into Leonard Haynes Jr.'s disappearance and something that caught my attention is the fact that he was declared legally dead a few years after he went missing. This is not something we see with every missing person case, so I'm curious what the criteria are for this type of legal declaration. Does anyone know more about the process and what it might indicate about the investigation? To me, it sounds like they might have hit a brick wall with any new leads. Would love to hear your thoughts or if anyone has seen similar situations in other cases.
