I've been thinking a lot about the kind of person Maria was, based on what her friends and family have shared. It’s so apparent she was deeply loved and cherished. The fact that she was just sitting in a car with her friend, going about her day, really drives home how random and senseless this violence was. It angers me to know that someone capable of such brutality is still out there somewhere. I truly hope the DNA evidence and fingerprints can provide a lead soon. It's hard to imagine the frustration and pain her family must be feeling each day that passes without answers. I believe in the power of community, though, and hope that more people will come forward with information. Maria deserves justice, and her loved ones deserve peace. If anyone knows anything, even something that seems insignificant, please share it with the authorities. Every tip could help bring closure to this tragic situation.
