Did anyone else find the use of sweet potatoes in this case extremely bizarre and disturbing? I can't wrap my head around it. From everything I've read, it seems like there’s often a level of detachment with crimes involving close family members, but using something as odd as sweet potatoes feels particularly unsettling. It must have been so hard for Tivvis's family to learn these details during the trial. I can't imagine the mix of emotions they have gone through in this whole process. My heart goes out to them; it must be incredibly painful to deal with not only the loss of a loved one but under such strange circumstances. What do you all make of this aspect?

It's been a tough journey for everyone who knew Tivvis. I've been following this case since it first made the news, and I still can't get my head around the use of sweet potatoes in the crime. It’s such a bizarre and horrific detail. I can't imagine what was going through Joshua Gaines' mind at the time, or how someone could commit such an act against their own family. What makes this all the more tragic is the way it’s affected Tivvis' loved ones and the community around them. She was someone who deserved to feel safe in her own home, and this kind of betrayal cuts deep. I hope that her family finds some semblance of peace now that the trial has concluded. Let's remember Tivvis for who she was and keep supporting her family as they navigate this painful chapter.
