I've been following the Collier case, and something that's been troubling me is how private the family was said to be. It's a reminder that we never truly know what challenges people might be facing behind closed doors. The love the children had for music and their involvement in church activities paint a picture of a family with deep connections and passions. It's tragic to think that even within such a seemingly loving environment, something went so terribly wrong. I now find myself thinking about the societal expectations of keeping personal struggles hidden and how that might contribute to tragedies like this one. If anyone has thoughts on how communities can better support families or individuals who might be struggling in silence, I'd appreciate your insights. ? I've been following the Collier case for a while, and my heart goes out to everyone involved, especially Justin, the older brother who discovered his siblings. I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma he is enduring. Losing family in such a violent manner, and then on top of that, processing that it was his own mother responsible—it’s just devastating.
I have been thinking a lot about the adoption angle of this story. It sounds like the Colliers were really involved in the community, with the kids in music and church groups.
