I came across this case recently, and I can't stop thinking about Hervey being found with that piece of paper clutched in his hand. It just raises so many questions. Was it a clue he was trying to leave behind in his final moments? Did he write it down in a moment of panic, hoping it would point someone in the right direction? It's haunting to think about. The fact that he was actively seeking help moments before his death makes it all the more chilling. My heart goes out to his loved ones, who had to deal with the sheer horror of learning those details. It's comforting to see the community honoring his memory, but I wish it hadn't come to this. If anyone has more thoughts on that piece of paper or knows if it played a part in how they approached the investigation, I'd love to hear.
