I came across the case of Robert D. Barnes recently, and it’s truly devastating for his family and friends to still be waiting for answers after all this time. It’s been over six years since that terrible day in September 2017 when Robert was taken from this world in such a senseless act of violence. I can’t imagine the pain and frustration they must feel knowing his killer is still out there. I know the Kansas City Police are doing their best, but it’s heartbreaking to see cases like this go unsolved for so long. It must be incredibly tough for the local authorities as well, dealing with so many similar cases and the struggle to get the community involved enough to make a real difference. If anyone knows anything, no matter how minor it might seem, please consider reaching out. Even the smallest piece of information could be the key to bringing some peace to Robert’s loved ones. Plus, the TIPS Hotline allows people to remain totally anonymous, which is reassuring. Justice needs to be served for Robert and all the others who’ve been lost to violence in Kansas City.
