Has anyone come across details about the gas station encounter that Michael had with the CHP officer? I’m wondering if they’ve ever released info on CCTV footage or witness accounts from that morning. It's such a critical point since it's the last confirmed sighting of him. I’ve read different things about gas station cameras being either broken or not storing footage for long periods, but it’s puzzling that there seems to be no public info on this. It feels like we're missing a big piece of the puzzle here. What have others found about how gas stations handle things like this?
Hi everyone, I recently came across Michael Darnell Bell Jr.'s missing person case from 2011, and something that keeps puzzling me is why Michael's car was found exactly where it ran out of gas on the Interstate 5 near Mendota. I mean, usually in these situations, you’d expect someone to maybe stay with their car or try to alert someone nearby. Considering he left his personal items and food in the microwave back at his place as if he was coming right back, it just doesn't make sense to me why no further attempts were made to contact family or friends once he was at the gas station. Does anyone know if there were any surveillance videos from the Chevron station? Or have the authorities shared any information about potential sightings or clues from that area? Seems like such a crucial piece that could help connect the dots. It's been so many years, and a fresh perspective might be what we need. Thoughts, anyone?
