I've been drawn to Ulysses Batiste Jr.'s case because of the potential sighting in Slidell a few days after he went missing. It makes me wonder if he could have caught a ride with someone, considering he didn't have a vehicle or a phone. Slidell isn't too far from Lacombe, so it's feasible he could have ventured there, but why and how remains a puzzle. I'm curious if anyone knows more about this sighting or if there have been any other unconfirmed reports since then. It's like the case just hits a wall right there, but maybe with fresh eyes, there's something we're missing? Does anyone think it's worth re-investigating this lead, even if it's been so long?
Has anyone looked into the angles around Ulysses Batiste Jr.'s outdoor activities? Given he was such an avid outdoorsman, I'm wondering if there's any possibility that his disappearance might be linked to one of his hunting or fishing trips.
