I came across an article about the 1967 Hammermill Paper Company shooting, and one detail that really stood out to me was the range of locations involved in the attack. It's so disconcerting that Held didn't seem to limit his actions, moving from the company to the airport and even to his neighbors' home. The sheer randomness of these locations makes it even more terrifying. It seems like anyone who was remotely connected to him was at risk, which must have left the entire community feeling on edge. It's important to remember the impact on the survivors, like Donna Quiggle, who were left with not only injuries but the trauma of experiencing such violence. I can't imagine how Lock Haven managed to cope with the fear and uncertainty that must have lingered for so long. Sending thoughts to those still impacted.
