I’ve been thinking a lot about Evelyn Thomas and McKinley Thomas lately, especially the fact that no one seems to know if they were related or if their deaths were connected. It's tough to imagine how their families have coped with not having these answers for so long.
Something that's really bothering me is how isolated Yeadon must have felt back in 1986. With both Evelyn and McKinley being lost on the same day, it must have sent shockwaves through the entire community. I wonder if anyone still living there remembers that day and what the atmosphere was like. Did people worry about their safety more after this?
It also makes me think about the commitment local law enforcement had then—and how it contrasts with today’s technology and resources. Could modern investigative techniques offer any hope if new information were to surface?
