I'm thinking a lot about the bravery of the survivors and first responders at the LA Fitness shooting in 2009. It's unimaginable to go through something like that. Not only did they witness such horrific events, but many also had to act quickly to help others amidst the chaos. The ones who were injured and managed to get out—I can't imagine their strength. And those who rushed in to help, knowing there was a shooter, truly acted selflessly. Remembering Elizabeth Gannon, Heidi Overmier, and Jody Billingsley, and holding their families close in my thoughts. It's a reminder to cherish every day and support one another in our communities. ?️
