I recently came across the tragic case of Brion Alexander Young, and I can't stop thinking about the community's reaction to his untimely death. It's truly moving to hear how neighbors and various groups came together so swiftly to hold a vigil at the very spot where Brion was taken from this world. It seems like the community is leaning on each other for support during such a difficult time, which I find incredibly admirable. The vigil organized by Heeding God’s Call and other local groups must have been a powerful sight—people of different faiths and backgrounds uniting in shared grief and determination to make a change. Their determination to address gun violence and the illegal flow of firearms highlights the broader issues that such tragedies expose. I hope that this show of solidarity can spark real conversations and action. In the meantime, the lack of information and progress regarding suspects must be so frustrating for Brion's family and friends. My thoughts are with them, and I sincerely hope that justice is served sooner rather than later.
