I was thinking about the role of community spaces like the Art House and how important they are, especially in neighborhoods facing challenges. It’s just so crushing that such a horrific event happened right outside a place that symbolizes hope and creativity. I've attended a couple of events at the Art House, and it's such a healing and joyful environment. Vanessa German has done incredible things there, and to see her broken over this is just gut-wrenching. I can't even begin to imagine how the regulars at the Art House, especially the kids, are coping with this reality literally on their doorstep. The makeshift memorial with the sign reading "Stop shooting, we love you" really got to me. It's like a rallying cry for the community’s resilience and desire for peace. It’s absolutely vital that witnesses step up and help find the person responsible. But, also, how do we protect these safe havens? What more can be done to shield spaces like the Art House from the surrounding violence? My thoughts are with Jeffrey Jackson's family and the Homewood community.

Hey everyone, I've been following the Jeffrey Jackson case and can't stop thinking about the community around the Art House. I mean, this place is supposed to be a refuge and a beacon of hope for everyone there, especially the kids. It's devastating to think that such a violent act could happen so close to a center meant for peace and creativity. I can’t imagine what Vanessa German and the people who run the Art House are going through right now. Turning something meant to cultivate positivity into a crime scene must be such a brutal blow. It's crucial for us to continually support places like this so they can keep doing their amazing work despite the terrible things happening around them. Really hoping someone with information comes forward soon. It’s crucial for justice and for the healing of the entire community. My heart goes out to all of Jeffrey Jackson's loved ones and everyone in Homewood affected by this tragedy. Let's keep the conversation going and push for the change we need to see.

It's been over nine years since Jeffrey Jackson was taken from us outside the Art House in Homewood. This case has been on my mind lately, and I can't help but think about the impact it must have had on the kids and families who regularly visited the Art House. It was meant to be a sanctuary, a place where children could express themselves creatively and feel safe. The fact that this tragedy happened just steps away is devastating. Vanessa German and everyone involved with the Art House must have felt an immense burden, trying to continue providing that safe space while carrying such a heavy loss. I really hope anyone who knows something finds the courage to speak up, not just for justice for Jeffrey, but also for the healing of a community that deserves better. I think it’s crucial we keep talking about this, reminding authorities and witnesses that the case is not forgotten. Justice for Jeffrey is long overdue, and his family and friends deserve answers.
