I find it so troubling how someone like Michael Lapaglia could betray the trust and familiarity he shared with John Parkes. It’s really unsettling, especially because they weren't strangers. To think Jack welcomed him into his life through his relationship with Carol, and then for it to end in such violence—it’s just deeply upsetting. I can't even imagine what Carol must be going through; the person she trusted was not only responsible for Jack's death but also tore apart the entire family's sense of security. It's a case that makes you wonder about the true nature of trust and how it can be shattered in an instant. My thoughts are with everyone who loved Jack as they continue to navigate life after such a horrible betrayal.
