Did anyone else follow the Wawa parking lot incident when it first happened? I'm still trying to wrap my head around the timeline. It’s chilling to think Kimberly was just trying to live her life, working the night shift, and then her world got shattered by someone who was supposed to care about her at some point. I can't imagine how terrifying it must have been for her, especially knowing she already had a protection order. It's so tragic that these orders aren’t always enough to prevent violence. I hope that sharing her story helps bring more awareness to the very real dangers faced by those experiencing domestic violence. My thoughts are with Kimberly's family and friends; I can't begin to comprehend their grief.
