I've been thinking a lot about the impact of sudden tragedies on the surrounding community, and Lorraine and Edward Smith's case is a poignant reminder of that. It's truly unsettling when such events happen close to home, especially in a place like Burgettstown where everyone seems to know each other. I read a piece in the local newspaper about how Lorraine and Edward used to participate in community events, often bringing their cherished Kewpie doll collection to showcase at fairs. It's hard to believe something so sinister could come from a couple who appeared to share so much happiness and kindness with those around them. I'm sure the emotions are complex for the community as people reconcile the happy memories with the shocking reality of their deaths. Sending strength and support to their daughter, Marie, and everyone else who knew and loved them. How does one begin to move forward from something like this?
