Did anyone else get a sense that the system failed Renee and her mom so terribly? It’s so difficult to understand why the restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, James Crawford, wasn't served in time. Like, what's the point of these orders if they don’t actually protect those who need them? The fact that Crawford was able to go to Renee’s house without consequence until it was too late is just maddening. My heart goes out to Renee's family and loved ones. Knowing she was such a reliable and hardworking person—it feels like a whole community lost a light that day. Does anyone know if there’s been any push for changes in the enforcement of these types of orders in Philly since this happened? This family deserved so much better.

I've been looking into the case of Renee Cosom and Adeline Hill, and one aspect that's been on my mind is the restraining order situation. It's so distressing to learn that the restraining order wasn't successfully served to Crawford. It's frustrating to see how such vital protective measures can fall through the cracks, potentially leading to dire consequences. Renee and her mother deserved the safety this legal process was supposed to provide them. It's a chilling reminder of how important it is to address any gaps in the system. My heart goes out to their family and friends who have endured so much pain due to this devastating incident. I can only hope that raising awareness about these procedural failures can help prevent similar tragedies in the future.
