I’ve been following the Michael Burch case closely and something really struck me about where the Chevy Equinox was found abandoned—Lincoln Avenue. It’s just a couple of blocks away from where the shooting happened on East Penn Street. I’ve been thinking a lot about how close-knit the community in Carlisle is and how shocking it must have been for this kind of violence to happen right there in their neighborhood. I can’t imagine how Burch’s family is coping with all of this, especially knowing the suspects had such an easy escape route. Does anyone else find it strange that nobody seemed to come forward with more info about who the suspects were? Given the time of day, I’d think there’d be more people out and about who might have seen something. Hopefully, Hines’ arrest will encourage more witnesses to speak up, even if it’s just to bring a small piece of this puzzle to light. Thoughts and support go out to everyone affected by this tragedy.
