I've been following the case of Tierees Owens and was struck by something regarding the location. Robby Nick’s Sports Bar, where the tragic incident occurred, unfortunately seems to have a lengthy history of violence. I was digging through some reports and found incidents from 2008 and 2017 too. It's unsettling to think about the bar staying open despite these past events.
The community surely deserves places where people can feel safe and enjoy themselves without the lurking threat of violence. It's also perplexing why such establishments aren’t more closely monitored or urged to implement stricter safety protocols. It makes me wonder if more proactive measures or even community intervention might have helped prevent such a devastating outcome for Tierees and his loved ones.
