I've been following the case of Steven Jenkins and Herbert Morris, and I'm really struck by how this tragic event highlights the broader issues faced by Detroit back in 2010. I can't imagine the pain their families must feel knowing there's still no closure. From what I gather, the area where they were found, 11620 John R Street, has been a hotspot for violent crime, which only adds to the complexity of solving this case. It appears that one of the significant challenges the authorities faced was the lack of witness cooperation. It's understandable that people might be afraid to come forward, given the circumstances, but it's so important for the sake of justice and the safety of the whole community. I really wish there was a way to foster more trust between the residents and law enforcement back then. It seems like a lot of cases, not just Steven Jenkins', might still be open because of this gap. My thoughts are with the families of Steven and Herbert. They deserved answers and justice, and it's disheartening to know that so many of these cases remain unsolved. Here's hoping that any new leads or developments might bring some peace to everyone affected.

Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Steven Jenkins and Herbert Morris, and there's something that's been on my mind. Has anyone come across any information about the community's response following this tragedy? I know a lot of times these kinds of incidents leave neighborhoods feeling shaken and unsafe. It makes me wonder if there were any vigils held or community meetings afterward to address the violence. I remember reading about other cases where the community has come together to support the victims' families and demand justice, but I haven’t come across anything specific for Steven and Herbert. It must be so difficult for their families to not only bear the personal loss but also the uncertainty of whether justice will be served. If any of you locals could share what the atmosphere was like in the area following the shootings, it might help shed some light on how the community handled this immense loss.
