I just can’t stop thinking about how Penny must have felt during her last moments. It’s so distressing to hear that she made that 911 call on July 4th and help didn’t arrive in time to prevent this tragedy. I keep wondering what exactly happened when the officers first responded. Why didn’t they go inside and check on her more thoroughly? It’s horrific to think that maybe this could have been prevented if the protocols were different or if there was more urgency in their response. My heart goes out to her family and friends dealing with immense loss. I hope this case brings about some meaningful changes so that no one else has to go through something like this.

I've been following the tragic case of Penny Van Tassel-Himel, and something that's really stuck with me is the role of the community in all of this. Penny was such a beloved figure in Easton, with her work at the Greater Shiloh Church and as a volunteer. It sounds like she touched a lot of lives with her kindness and dedication. I can't help but wonder how the community is coping in the aftermath of her death. It must be incredibly challenging to process such a loss while also managing the anger and disappointment surrounding the response times of law enforcement. I hope that her friends and fellow community members find strength in each other during this difficult time, and that they continue to honor Penny's legacy by carrying on her spirit of service and love. For those who knew her, their voices should remain strong in seeking justice and perhaps advocating for changes that might prevent a similar tragedy in the future. Does anyone know if there have been any community events or vigils held to remember her?
