Hey everyone, I've been following Joshua Richardson's case for quite some time, and it's truly distressing to see how many similar cases remain unsolved. What stands out to me is the lack of cooperation from witnesses, which is both understandable and incredibly frustrating. The fear of retaliation in areas with high crime rates like Rutherford can't be ignored. I really wonder what could be done to encourage more people to come forward and share what they might know. It feels like breaking that cycle of silence could be the key to solving not just Joshua’s case, but so many others. My heart goes out to his family who are still waiting for answers. Let’s keep discussing and sharing any thoughts or ideas—it might just make a difference. ?

Hello, I'm a close relative of Joshua Richardson's. Thank you for keeping him and my family in your thoughts and prayers. His murder has never been solved. However, I feel that the the police did not do what they were supposed to do in order to get his murder solved. There was a rumor around the neighborhood that guy by the name of Joseph Martin aka Jo Jo and a relative by the name of Cree Cree are responsible. Jo Jo was murdered in a robbery attempt in or around 2011 or 2012. Word on the street Jo Jo was apart of a gang called either the Vice Lord's or 7 Mile Bloods. He killed a lot of people in the west 7 Mile area allegedly robbing them and shooting them. I believe he was responsible for the murder of a guy who was killed at a gas station on 7 Mile and Rutherford in 2010 over a motor cycle club jacket. I also believe that Jo Jo is responsible for murdering a man at the Burger King on 7 Mile and Greenfield, as well as another man whom he robbed for Cartier glasses by the name of Tavis Lewis on St. Mary's and 7 mile. I noticed that once Jo Jo was murdered, the murder rate declined in the area. Joshua moved to the neighborhood because it looked like a nice neighborhood at the time, he did not know that the neighborhood was gang infested. One month before Joshua was murdered he and Jo Jo exchanged words, a month later someone waited in his garage for him to come home and ambushed him. Joshua was shot in the head, and multiple times on his left side.

This is a lot of good info. When you get a moment you should send this to the site admins using the provide information button on his case page. I've done this for a couple of cases and they are very responsive with updating the information. Also, I see his case is missing a lot of basic info like race and image. If you have an image of him. Anyway, so sorry for the loss of your relative. At least these guys are shining a light on cases that normally get no media coverage. My brother was murdered in 2022 and at least when I google him now there's some information from these guys about his unsolved murder. Your family is in my prayers. - GeeGee

He tried to drive himself to the hospital but crashed into a nearby tree. Joshua was a good person who wouldn't harm a fly. He wasn't a street dude, he worked for a living and was only just beginning to live like. He did not deserve to pass the way that he did. I miss him every day. His birthday is one day after mine's so birthdays are really hard for me.

I've been reading about Joshua Richardson's case, and it really strikes me how much pain his loved ones must have endured over the years without any closure. It’s so frustrating to think about all the challenges that faced the investigation back in 2010, especially with the limited resources and lack of cooperation from witnesses. I can’t help but wonder, as more time goes by, if there are people out there with information who might come forward. It's just so sad to see another young life lost to violence and a family left with unanswered questions. It's a small comfort, but I hope that with new advancements in forensic technology, we might get closer to finding justice for Joshua and others caught in similar situations. Detroit’s history with unresolved cases is long, but the hope is still alive. Stay strong to his family and friends – you’re in our thoughts.
