The sentencing phase for Robert Jamieson received a lot of local attention, but I wanted to discuss something that often gets overlooked in these tragic cases—the way communities band together. Following Ceani's tragic death, her schoolmates and teachers at the Mathematics, Civics & Sciences Charter School organized a memorial service and a scholarship fund in her name. The outpouring of support was incredible, and it just goes to show how Ceani touched the lives of so many. It’s a small glimpse of hope seeing people unite to celebrate her life and dreams, despite the senseless circumstances of her death. It’s a testament not just to her potential, but to the love and kindness she inspired in those around her. It's moments like these that remind me of the strength we can find in community, even amidst the most trying times.
