Hey everyone, I came across a curious detail while reading about the missing aircraft case involving Congressman Nicholas Begich, pilot Don Jones, and Thomas Boggs Sr. The plane, a white and orange Cessna N1812N, went missing en route from Anchorage to Juneau. What I find particularly intriguing is the weather conditions reported that day. Apparently, there was heavy cloud cover and turbulence along the flight path. Has anyone looked into the flight plan they filed? I'm wondering if it covered possible deviations due to bad weather. If they had to change course to avoid turbulence, it might have taken them into more remote areas. Any thoughts or similar cases where weather impacted search efforts?
Has anyone heard more details about Don Jones in the Cessna N1812N flight? I know everyone’s focused on Nicholas Begich and Thomas Boggs Sr, which is understandable given their positions, but I'm curious about Don Jones' involvement. Was he there in an official capacity, or was this more personal for him? Also, has there been any update on the search efforts around the flight path? The terrain is so rugged between Anchorage and Juneau; it must be challenging for search teams. My thoughts are with the families and I just hope for some clarity soon.
Just read about the mysterious disappearance of the Cessna N1812N and its passengers. I find it really odd that despite the clear weather reported on the flight path from Anchorage to Juneau, the plane still went missing. It's as if it just vanished into thin air! I wonder if they encountered some unexpected turbulence or something else that disrupted their journey. Has anyone looked into any possible anomalies in that area around the time they went missing? It just seems so baffling that a plane could disappear with no trace in such a monitored flight zone. I've also heard about reports of unexplained radio silence—what could cause that? If anyone has insight into similar aviation mysteries, I'd love to hear more about your thoughts on this case.
