Hey everyone, I recently came across another case stemming from the tragic end of Pierre Ashby, who was killed on New Year's Eve in 2010 on Linzee Street. Given how many unsolved homicide cases Detroit has, it’s disheartening that Pierre's family is still waiting for answers nearly 13 years later. One thing that stands out to me is the enormous backlog of unsolved cases in Detroit. This puts into perspective just how strained the resources must be for law enforcement. I wonder if there's any recent movement or leads in Pierre's case? Sometimes in these cold case situations, all it takes is one piece of new evidence or a courageous witness to step forward. Are there any local community initiatives or groups that are actively working alongside the Cold Case Unit to seek justice for Pierre and others like him? It would be great if there were more awareness or community efforts focused on these cases. The resilience of the families and these communities is just incredible, and they truly deserve to see justice served. Thoughts or updates, anyone? Stay safe, [Username]
