They may have found her remains but what happened to her? Was it an accident? Was it a murder? I am glad she was found and that brings some measure of closure but not knowing what caused her early death is frustrating.

I’ve been reading up on the Marla Jean Thomas case, and something that sticks out to me is how little we know about her last known movements. I’ve seen other missing person cases where even the smallest detail about their routine can uncover leads. Wasn't there anyone who could account for her plans that day or any place she frequented where people might remember seeing her? It just seems like any minor piece of information about her daily life could be invaluable. It’s strange, especially in a small town like Anacortes, where you’d think someone might have seen something or heard something. Does anyone know if there were any local hangout spots or friends who noticed anything odd around that time?
I've been diving into the details surrounding Marla Jean Thomas's case and came across an intriguing aspect that I hadn't seen mentioned much before. Apparently, there were some talks in the community at the time about a mysterious car that was seen around the area she disappeared from. From what I gather, it was described as a dark-colored sedan that didn’t seem to belong to anyone local. I wonder if this could be a piece of the puzzle that's been overlooked or maybe even forgotten over the years. Has anyone else come across similar reports or heard anything about this vehicle? It feels like there might be more to this story than what’s been officially documented, and I'm hoping maybe someone here has some more insights.
