Hi everyone, I've been following the Lynnell Baskin case, and one aspect that's really concerning to me is the lack of progress in finding the perpetrator(s). It's troubling to think that there were witnesses who heard or saw something, but fear or other reasons might be keeping them from speaking up. I can't even begin to imagine the frustration and pain Lynnell's family must be going through, not knowing who took their loved one away and why. It's cases like Lynnell's that highlight the overwhelming challenges law enforcement face, especially in cities struggling with high crime rates. I really wish there was a way to encourage and protect those who might have information without putting them at risk. Maybe some sort of anonymous tip system could help? If anyone has thoughts on successful methods other communities have used to solve similar cases, I'd love to hear about them. Lynnell and her family deserve justice, and the community deserves to feel safer. Let's hope something breaks soon in this case. Sending thoughts to everyone affected by this tragedy.

Does anyone else feel completely frustrated by the lack of movement in Lynnell Baskin’s case? It's been over a decade, and there's still no resolution for her family. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain they must be feeling all these years without answers. The fact that this happened in broad daylight and yet the perpetrators are still out there is both infuriating and baffling. Detroit's system sorely needs support to solve these crimes, and it’s so tragic to see families like Lynnell's caught in limbo. If there are any Detroit locals here who might have insight or knowledge about efforts to improve the situation, or if there's been any recent activism pushing for more resources and support for families like hers, please share. It seems like the only way forward is if the community comes together, not just for Lynnell but for everyone facing similar circumstances.
