I just wanted to share something that's been bugging me about Ahjaon Jackson's case. It's so devastating to think about what his twin sister had to go through that night. Imagine being right there, experiencing such a terrifying and traumatic event and having to flee for your life. The fact that she wasn't physically harmed is a small blessing, but the emotional toll must be unimaginable. I hope she's surrounded by a lot of support right now. I've been thinking a lot about the Lyft driver, too. They were in such close proximity to a violent crime—how are they coping with this? We sometimes forget the ripple effect of these events and how many lives get touched by tragedy, even beyond the immediate family and friends. It's just another layer to this incredibly sad situation. Hoping for justice for Ahjaon and healing for everyone involved.
