I've been following the tragic case of Jeremiah Beamon's murder and something that stands out to me is the quick work of Detective Brian Carriere and the Harrisburg Bureau of Police. It’s incredible that they identified the shooter, Jerome Kasey, within just 24 hours. It must have been an intense and challenging time for both the investigators and Jeremiah’s loved ones. While nothing can undo the loss for Jeremiah's family and friends, I hope that seeing swift action from the police brings at least a small sense of relief that the case was being taken seriously. Gun violence is such a devastating issue, and having law enforcement work diligently helps show that these crimes won't go unanswered. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this senseless tragedy.
