Hey everyone, I've been reflecting on the case of Virgil Crawley, and something that's been bothering me is how it's such a stark reminder of the broader issues Detroit was facing back in 2011. For those who aren't familiar, his murder happened during a particularly violent year for the city. It's so frustrating to see how many lives were affected by the crime wave that gripped Detroit back then. It must have been terrifying for families living there, especially when stories like Virgil's were far too common. It's easy to look at the statistics and feel overwhelmed, but we can't forget that behind each number is a person with loved ones left to grieve. My thoughts go out to Virgil's family and friends, and to everyone in Detroit who was affected by that year's spike in violence. We should keep discussing these cases and advocating for change, so no more families have to endure such losses. Stay safe, everyone. Let's keep hoping for justice and peace.
