Does anyone here have updates on whether James Jenkins' case received any attention from the recently set up Cold Case Unit in Detroit? I've been following his story since it happened, and it’s incredibly disheartening to see another young life lost without closure. I can’t imagine the pain his family continues to endure with no answers. It seems these unsolved cases really weigh on the entire community, leading to this sense of urgency that something has to change. The establishment of new resources like the Cold Case Unit is a step in the right direction, but I wonder if they’re truly equipped to tackle the backlog they’re facing. Has the DNA technology brought any movement in cases similar to James' recently? It would be hopeful to see some resolution brought through advances in forensic technology. For those familiar with Detroit, how effective do you think the community tip lines have been? I genuinely hope we see some progress for the sake of James' loved ones and the community.
