I've been following the case of Tyler David Thames and I can’t stop thinking about his two little girls, Royal Liberty Anne and August Naomi. Growing up without their father because of such a senseless act must be incredibly tough for them. I can't even imagine the trauma they’ve gone through, especially after being directly involved in that horrible morning. The community has shown so much support, but the loss of a parent is something you carry with you for life. I hope they find some kind of peace and healing. If there are any local support groups or ways we can help, can anyone share more info?
Has anyone else been struck by the role mental illness played in this case? It's absolutely devastating to think about the lives destroyed by Gregory Greene's violent actions. It seems like his untreated mental health issues were a ticking time bomb. I'm in no way excusing what he did, but it's such a complex issue that raises questions about how society deals with mental health and criminal responsibility. Tyler, Meredith, and those poor kids deserved so much better, and I can't stop thinking about how things might have been different with earlier intervention for Greene. My heart truly goes out to their families and everyone impacted in Harrisburg.
