Did anyone else hear about the work the Cold Case Unit is doing with new DNA testing methods? I recently read that they can re-test evidence from as far back as the late 80s! I truly hope this means there’s a chance for cases like Martin Murry’s to finally get some answers. His story is just one among so many in Detroit's backlog, and his loved ones deserve justice and closure. It's frustrating to think there might be someone out there who can help solve this but is still silent. If only they knew how impactful it could be just to share what they know! If any of you are from the area or have been following his case, do you think these updated methods actually stand a chance? It would be incredible to hear they finally identified a suspect through these efforts. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is the breakthrough Martin's family needs. ?
