Hey everyone, I’ve been digging into Demtris Robinson’s case and it’s so frustrating to see yet another young life taken too soon. I can't help but feel for his family and friends who are still seeking those vital answers more than a decade later. One thing that really stands out to me about this case, and many others in Detroit, is the lack of community cooperation. It’s so disheartening that even when there are potential witnesses, fear or distrust often keeps them silent. It’s understandably tough when you hear about these issues with witness intimidation or concerns about police relations. I’m wondering if there have been any successful community-driven initiatives elsewhere that helped build trust and improve cooperation? Maybe something that could be looked at for cases like Demtris’s. I just really hope that with continuous effort, the community and the police can find a way to come together and find justice for people like Demtris. We owe it to him and everyone else waiting for answers. Thoughts and any insights are welcome! Stay safe out there.
