Hey everyone, I’ve been delving into some cold cases recently, and I came across the story of Stefon White, the 16-year-old boy who was tragically shot on the east side of Detroit back in 2011. It feels so frustrating that a vibrant young life was cut short and no one has had to answer for it. This case among so many others in Detroit reflects a systemic issue with the lack of resolution in violent crimes. I get that Detroit’s faced overwhelming challenges with resources and witness cooperation, but surely the community can play a part in tipping the scales? I've read about other places setting up anonymous tip lines or community crime watch groups that have helped push unsolved cases forward. I wonder if similar initiatives could be more widely adopted or improved in Detroit to get witnesses to speak up without fear. It just seems like anything that can increase the push for fresh leads is a step in the right direction. If anyone knows of organizations or groups in Detroit working on similar strategies, I’d love to hear about them. We’ve got to support the families who continue to live with the unanswered questions that come with such losses. Stefon and so many others deserve some measure of justice. Take care, [Username]

Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Stefon White, the young man who was shot and killed on the east side of Detroit in 2011. It's so upsetting to think about someone so young with so much potential having their life cut short. I read that his case is still unsolved, just like so many others in the area. I can't help but feel for Stefon's family and friends who are left without answers, while the city continues to struggle with such a high rate of violent crime. With over 5,000 unsolved cases in Detroit, it's hard to comprehend how daunting it must be for investigators, but I really hope that advancements in forensic science and continued community efforts can finally bring some answers. Has anyone here seen any recent updates about the efforts surrounding cold cases in the city? I read that the Detroit Cold Case Unit is still working on older cases, but I'm curious if there's been any significant progress or new strategies in place. Any info or discussion would be appreciated. Stefon and his family deserve justice, and so do all the other families who are waiting for closure.
