I'm still trying to wrap my head around how this horrible accident could have happened. It's so hard to understand how a group of kids just trying to have fun making music videos ended up in such a tragic situation. Quincy's future was so bright, and now it’s just gone. I can't imagine the pain his family and friends are going through. And Jermaine—it must be devastating for his family too, knowing that one momentary lapse in judgment has changed everything for everyone involved. I've been thinking about the role that access to guns plays in accidents like these. How do we even begin to address it? It just feels like such a complex issue that needs urgent attention. I hope the investigation can provide some answers and possibly prevent something like this from happening to another family. Sending my thoughts to the entire Upper Darby community during this really difficult time.

Hey everyone, I just want to talk about something that's been on my mind since learning about Quincy Long Jr.'s tragic death. It's really stuck with me how, in the midst of a fun and innocent activity like making music videos, things took such a devastating turn. This could have been any group of kids hanging out, just trying to enjoy their summer break. It's a painful reminder of how quickly life can change due to a single, careless action. I can't stop thinking about the impact this has had on Quincy's friends who were there that day. They've not only lost a friend but are also coping with the trauma of witnessing such a heartbreaking event. I hope they're getting the support they need from their families, schools, and the community. It's so important for us to rally around them and make sure they're okay in the aftermath of all of this. Also, shoutout to the community for coming together to honor Quincy's memory. I hope we can keep encouraging our kids to find safer ways to express themselves and make sure they feel protected and guided. My thoughts are with everyone touched by this tragedy. ?

I’ve been following the Quincy Long Jr. case, and it's incredibly disheartening to think about how one careless moment can lead to such unimaginable loss. Quincy was just having fun with his friends, making those music videos like so many kids do nowadays. It's baffling to think that a life full of promise could be cut short simply because a firearm was brought into the mix. I’ve read that Jermaine Young, the alleged shooter, is facing serious charges, and my heart aches for both families involved. Imagine being so young and facing the consequences of a split-second decision like that. It's hard not to wonder what led to a firearm being in the hands of these kids in the first place. The vigil held for Quincy must have been a powerful moment for the community. It’s so important to have spaces where people can show solidarity and strength, nurturing that hope for change so that no other family has to suffer through this kind of pain. We need to figure out how to better protect our youth from violence and access to weapons. This tragedy is a stark reminder of how crucial it is to educate and prevent these occurrences.
