Has anyone else been following the case of Henry Hoskins? It's haunting to think about how many families in Detroit are still searching for answers. My heart goes out to Henry’s loved ones who’ve been waiting for over a decade now. It's so frustrating to see how many cases like this have slipped through the cracks.
I was reading about how the Murder Bureau in Detroit is overwhelmed and under-resourced. It's no wonder so many cases like Henry's remain unsolved. It’s a tragic cycle—witnesses don’t want to talk because they’re scared, and without their cooperation, evidence dries up.
What do you all think about the community's role in this? I've heard of some grassroots efforts where locals are reaching out to help gather information. It feels like it's the community that's putting in a lot of effort, alongside groups like Crime Stoppers.
I keep thinking about what using more advanced forensic tech could do here. DNA testing has made a difference in other cities. It would be amazing to see a breakthrough because of something like that in Henry’s case.
Let’s keep sharing Henry’s story and others like his—it’s a reminder that they haven’t been forgotten. They deserve justice, and maybe collective effort will get us there someday.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot about the challenges with witnesses in cases like Henry Hoskins’s. It’s really tough to hear about so many people being hesitant to come forward, especially when it seems like any bit of info could make a big difference. Can’t help but wonder if it's a mix of fear and a lack of trust with the system. The community needs to feel safe enough to speak up, but I guess when crimes have gone unsolved for this long, it might feel pointless or even scary for some.
I wish there was more we could do to show support for those who might have info but feel reluctant to get involved. It feels like building stronger relationships between law enforcement and local residents could change a lot. Anyone have thoughts on how we as a community could make people feel more comfortable sharing what they know? It’s frustrating just sitting on the sidelines when it feels like there might be someone out there with the knowledge that could bring justice to Henry’s family.
Hoping for some positive change and sending love to everyone affected by these unsolved cases.
