Remembering the details of older cases like Jerry Schroeder's can be important. I've been thinking about his 1959 Chevrolet El Camino being found unlocked and with the keys inside. It's puzzling to me. Could it mean Jerry left in a hurry or planned on coming back? Or was it just a way to make it look like he left on his own? This spot near NE Marine Drive seems a bit random, too, considering he didn't live around there. Has anyone looked into what the area was like back in '83? Maybe there was something or someone specific that drew him there. Anyone with local knowledge from that time period?
Hi everyone,
I've been diving deep into Jerry Schroeder's disappearance and stumbled upon something odd about the location where his car was found. I did a bit of digging, and it turns out that NE Marine Drive and 185th Avenue wasn't just a random spot back in the early '80s. There were a few accounts of that area being a popular hangout for late-night drag racing and impromptu car meet-ups.
Could Jerry possibly have decided to join one of these gatherings after the party? Did someone at the party mention going there, or could he have met someone new that night who showed interest in his El Camino? If he was seen asleep on the couch earlier, maybe he left on a whim?
I feel like exploring these side events might shed new light on what could've happened. Maybe someone attending those gatherings saw something unusual in the early hours of May 30. Does anyone know of any racing groups or car enthusiasts from that era that operated around there? Any leads could really help narrow down the timeline or provide new insights into Jerry's movements that morning.
Sending positive thoughts to his family and hoping for a breakthrough soon. ?
It's really puzzling that Jerry Schroeder's car was found unlocked with the keys inside. It makes me wonder if he planned to come back quickly or if he left in a rush. It seems unlikely that he would just leave it that way intentionally. Has anyone considered the possibility that perhaps someone else moved the car after Jerry went missing? It could be a clue in itself that we're overlooking. This area is usually pretty quiet, and if someone did move it, maybe they knew the neighborhood and thought it would go unnoticed. Would be interesting to hear more about any witnesses or sightings around the time of his car being found.
