I've been following Donald H. Major's case for a while, and something that has always intrigued me is the eyewitness account from the teacher and her students. They recall seeing Major's plane when they were heading inside because of the rain. I wonder if the weather played a bigger role than we assume? Was there a sudden shift in conditions that could have disoriented or otherwise impacted him during the flight? It's odd that, with such extensive searching, neither Major nor his plane was ever found. Given his community standing and being such a prominent figure, I would think his disappearance would've prompted even more intense investigation efforts over the years. Does anyone know if there were any other unusual weather patterns reported around that time, which might have hindered search efforts or visibility for other planes in the area?
I recently came across the case of Donald H. Major, and something that's been gnawing at me is the weather conditions on the day of his disappearance. Has anyone else looked into this? I read that a teacher and her students saw his plane flying overhead as they rushed inside because of the rain. It makes me wonder how severe the weather was that day and whether it could have contributed to something going wrong during his flight back to Kilbourne. Does anyone know if there were any severe weather advisories or storms? I've read about cases where small planes encounter sudden weather changes, and things go south quickly. Considering Major seemed unwell when refueling, maybe the weather intensified the situation? Any insights or information would be super helpful!
Hey everyone,
I've been following Donald H. Major's case and something really sticks out to me. It's about the weather conditions that day. A lot of us have been focusing on his flight path and the possibility of mechanical issues, but what about the rainstorm that was rolling in? A teacher and her students reported seeing his plane flying overhead as they rushed inside to escape the rain. It got me thinking—could the weather have played a bigger role in his disappearance than we initially considered?
If the rain was coming down heavily, it might have led to reduced visibility, which is always risky for small aircraft. Plus, if Donald was already feeling unwell, dealing with unexpected weather conditions could have overwhelmed him. It's curious that no parts of the plane were found despite the extensive search. Do you guys think it's possible he was trying to navigate around the storm and ended up off course? It's just a theory, but maybe focusing more on the weather could shed some light on what truly happened that day. What do you all think?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
