It’s unimaginable to think about the fear and helplessness Lynda and her family must have felt in those final moments. I recently read about how their home was set on fire, which likely aimed to cover up the crime. It's such a tragic detail that makes this case even more chilling.
Considering it was a renovated barn, I imagine the fire utterly destroyed it, hampering the evidence-gathering process hopelessly. It's quite frustrating to think about how crucial clues might have been lost in the flames. It’s also deeply concerning to think about how their home, a place that should have been safe and comforting, ended up being a crime scene. My heart goes out to little Billy Jr., who lost his whole family that day. Are there any updates on how he and Carol are doing years later? They’ve endured so much, and I hope they found some measure of peace.

Hi. I'm Lynda's granddaughter. Carol (my mother) struggles from time to time but overall, she does well. Sadly, Little Billy did not survive that night either. All four died that night.
