Hey everyone,
I’ve been really curious about the case of the unidentified man found in Lake Erie back in 1986. While it's understood that the body had no visible tattoos or scars, I’ve been thinking about the possibility that maybe he had something far less visible — like a unique medical condition or surgery that wasn't apparent after all those months submerged. I mean, this could be something investigators might have a hard time identifying without more advanced techniques, kind of like looking for a needle in a haystack back in the day.
Does anyone have any idea if they’ve looked into medical records or consulted specialists to determine if this man might have had some rare condition that could help identify him? Given that dental records would have been more challenging due to him having no teeth, maybe this could be another viable avenue? It hurts thinking about how long this man has been waiting for someone to recognize him or tell his story. Just hoping that someday soon we get some answers and his family can finally find peace.
Would love to hear your thoughts or any insights you might have on whether avenues like these have been explored or could be of help in other cases. Thanks for taking the time to think about this together.
