I can't stop thinking about how Officer Blankenship's murder affected the students at OSU, especially those who took his self-defense classes. He obviously cared deeply about protecting others and empowering them with knowledge. Imagine being a young student and having such a dedicated instructor who you saw as a mentor get taken away like that. It must have been incredibly difficult for them to process this loss. It's just a reminder of how much of an impact one person can have on a community. In the wake of such violence, it's heartening to see how the OSU community continues to honor his legacy and keep his teachings alive. My thoughts are with his family and all those who are carrying his memory forward.
