Hey all, I was just thinking about Deangelo Lewis and the ripple effect his case has likely had on his family and friends. It’s been over a decade since he was killed, and it must be incredibly difficult for his loved ones to not have any closure. I can’t even begin to imagine what it’s like to live with unanswered questions for so long. Something that stands out to me is how important it is for the community to rally together—not just for Deangelo’s case but for all those who are still seeking justice. Sometimes it’s hard to understand why more witnesses don’t come forward, but I get that there might be fear involved or a distrust of law enforcement. I really do hope that as a community, we can push for improvements in how these cases are handled. Whether it’s better resources for the police or more community engagement, something’s got to give so that families like Deangelo's aren't left in silence.
