I recently read about the tragic case of Michael Burklund, and it's been on my mind. What's truly concerning is how domestic tensions can escalate to such a devastating point. It raises the question of how important it is for people to have access to resources and support when they're going through such turmoil at home. Dorleen's previous filing for a protection order shows that there were significant issues that perhaps weren't adequately addressed. It's just so sad to think about how different things might have been if both had more support during their struggles.
