Has anyone else been following the public response to Lamar Booker's case? I've been really touched by how the Toledo community has rallied around his family. It’s been inspiring to see so many people come together to offer their support and encouragement to his parents and children. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain they’re going through. I also appreciate the discussions happening around violence prevention. While it’s so important to get justice for Lamar and other victims, it’s equally crucial to focus on how to stop these senseless acts from happening in the first place. It’s heartening to see initiatives aimed at addressing violence in the community—hopefully, they’ll make a difference. It’s clear that Lamar’s memory has sparked a much-needed conversation, and for that, I’m grateful. My thoughts continue to be with his loved ones.
