Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Abriel Vincent Ruiz for a while, and something that really stands out to me is his incredible talent as an artist. It’s such a loss for the world not just because of the violent way he was taken from us, but also because of the amazing work he left behind. I can't stop thinking about how his art must have touched so many people and how his future works will now never be seen.
For those who have seen his work or maybe even have one of his tattoos, did his style or personality shine through in any particular way? I’m curious about how he used his art to express himself and connect with others. It must be tough for his family and friends to continue on without him, and I hope they find some comfort in the beauty he created.
If there are any updates in the investigation or ways to support justice for Abriel, please share. His loved ones deserve some peace and resolution.
Sending thoughts to all of you who knew him. ?️
Does anyone here have more information about how the investigation into Abriel's death progressed after that Alford plea? It's confusing and frustrating to think that even with enough evidence for a plea, justice feels so out of reach. I can only imagine how hard this must be for Abriel's family, especially Amelia, Pablo, Juanita, and Tiana, to see someone enter a plea but have no definitive closure. Are there any updates or new leads? I know the community had so much respect for him, not just as a talented artist but as a genuine person who touched so many lives. The fact that he still doesn't have justice is something that I just can't wrap my head around. If anyone has any updates or ways to support his family, please share.
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about Abriel Ruiz's case and wanted to focus on something that's been on my mind: the Alford plea from 2017. I've seen it mentioned here and there but I don't think it gets the attention it deserves. This plea is such a frustrating aspect for Abriel's family and friends because it technically resolves part of the legal proceedings, but it doesn't provide the closure they desperately need. It’s like the truth is so close yet still out of reach.
For those who aren't as familiar, an Alford plea is where a defendant pleads guilty but still maintains their innocence, acknowledging the prosecution likely has enough evidence for a conviction. It’s complex and makes the situation even murkier for everyone involved, especially when it’s a case as tragic as this one. How do you all feel about the use of Alford pleas in such cases? Do you think it’s a cop-out, or does it serve some purpose I'm missing?
Really hoping for some insightful thoughts here. Abriel’s family deserves real answers and closure.
Sending love to them and all of you who continue to care about justice for Abriel.
